Description

<p>In my distant future earth portfolio, these two animal live in the open prairie. One's a bison-like thing and the other is like a ferret.

The bison-like thing is called a swooz, it is one of the largest and most abundant herbivore in North Sereadaland (during the Age of Humans, this continent was called North Americal). A descendant of feral beef cattle, it is distinguished by its massive hump and forequarters, accentuated by its, thick rufous, white-striped hair covering much of its head and chest. Bulls stands 6 ft. at the shoulder and may weigh 2,000 Ibs; females are smaller. Both sexes are horned. Adapted to life on the open prairie, these nomadic grazers move south in winter and north in the spring.

The ferret-like animal is called a cezil. It is a small carnivorous North Sereadaland prairie animal closely related to the kamaetachi of the Far East, and a newly-evolved member of the diverse family Mustelidae which also includes weasels, mink, polecats, martens, otters, and badgers. Cezils vary in length from 12 to 45 centimetres (5 to 18 in), and usually have a striped red or dark-brown upper coat and a white belly; some populations of some species moult to a wholly white coat in winter. They have long slender bodies, which enable them to follow their prey into burrows. Their tails may be from 22 to 33 centimetres (9 to 13 in) long. They also have three long tapering ears that can be pressed to the ground to listen for sounds of burrowing prey. What look like an additional ear is actual a top knot used for display during breeding season.

I should do the same, but with species like the cougar crocodile and Deinoceros (Manchurian goliath elk).
