This is the first sketch for a very big commission by 
who wanted some picture of a world-wide tyrant, his soldiers and some resistance fighters duking it out with swords and steampunk genre weapons. He also wanted the tyrant's daughter, who is the leader of this band of sky pirates who are assisting the resistance. She is also in love with the resistance leader who is also masquerading as a sky pirate.
So here's the princess, sky pirate captain and the resistance leader. wanted me to portray the guy carrying a long two-handed sword. The pistol was my own idea.
