It's more like a yokai animal. Nezumi - rat or mouse; in this case, mouse yokai

Oh so it's a demon.rat (or nouse) I see...
And what's the story behind, can I ask? I read that it was for a tale contest. o.o

Well, The Country Mouse one was originally an entry for :icontraditional-artists:'s Fairy Tale Contest
I can't find the exact contest date since the blog's no longer there. But it's a really old work done in the late 90's, and it was partly inspired by The Tale of Mrs. Tittlemouse by Beatrix Potter .

Ah I see... Well, okay gotta admit that I'm still confused. I mean how is that it's a Japanese demon mouse then? I though the original one has nothing to do with it. And the background also suggest all western culture so... I just don't get it.
