Tullugaq trailed the scent until it abruptly ended at a curb on Corbett Street.  Now what?  Stepping onto the street, she sniffed around a bit.  The odor of large padded feet convinced her that either a bus beast or taxi had stopped here a few minutes before.

Exhausted and whining pathetically, she slumped down next to some nearby hedges.  She was feeling thoroughly depressed as well as baffled.  As she was following the perfumed trail into the very posh regions of Norbie Hill, she found that the thief was running hard in a panicked flight. &#

Kes didn't tell Gorynych a lot of things about herself.  She didn't tell him about how she was raised mainly by her paternal grandmother Ezeka until the age of twelve when Ezeka met with an unfortunate accident that prematurely ended her career and life as a naturalist/ artist ( she was eaten by a giant catfish while taking an early morning dip in the nearby river).  How Kes was sent back to live with aloof and distant parents who promptly sent her to boarding school where she was made fun of by both students and teachers alike for being clumsy and slow.

Kiki, meanwhile, was still on the phone, but she was now bawling.
"Grandma, could you come get us, please?" she cried. "My purse is in my backpack, which is still in the luggage cart, and they're still soaking and fumigating it."

"Now calm down, honey," said Grandma, consolingly. "What about your sister?  Doesn't she have money?"

Kiki sniffled and wiped away her tears with her sleeve.

"Not very much," she answered. "Mom thinks she going to splurge it on sweets and other worthless junk"

"And does she?" asked Grandma.

"Not to my knowledge," replied Kiki.

The entire background of A Glimpse of Dis> [link]

Inspired by a really trippy dream I had where I discovered a post-apocalyptic world in an upstairs closet of this old house. This world was separated from the dimension I was in by a metal lighthouse like structure with painted black windows. It's like something you'd see in Marylin Manson or Ozzy Osbourne music video.

Post-Apocalyptic Scenery(C) mmpratt99 8-20-010. Done entirely in PhotoSuite4. 12 hrs.
